Redding is a city in far-Northern California, located on Interstate 5 exactly halfway between the Canada and Mexico borders[citation needed]. It is the county seat of Shasta County, California, USA. With a population of 89,861 as of the 2010 Census, Redding is the largest city in the Shasta Cascade region and is the fourth largest city in the Sacramento Valley behind Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Roseville.
