The college offers a University Transfer program where students complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at Nicolet and then transfer to a four-year college or university. Many Nicolet University Transfer graduates transfer into the University of Wisconsin System.[citation needed]

Typically, about 2,000 students enroll in credit classes at Nicolet each year. In all, it is estimated that 10,000 people utilize some aspect of the college each year. Arts and Speakers Series and the Nicolet Art Gallery; utilizing the Nicolet College Library; and participating in the Learning in Retirement organization.[citation needed]

The college has two campuses: the main Lake Julia Campus located one mile (1.6 km) south of Rhinelander on Hwy G and the Lakeland campus in Minocqua. The Rhinelander campus, on the shores of Lake Julia just south of Rhinelander, encompasses 280 acres (113 ha) and includes 3,000 feet (914 m) of frontage on Lake Julia. The Lakeland Campus is located in Minocqua, next to Lakeland Union High School.[citation needed]

Created in 1967, the Nicolet district covers all of Oneida, Vilas and Forest counties and portions of Lincoln, Langlade and Iron counties and covers approximately 4,000 square miles (10,360 km2). About 80,000 people live in the district.[citation needed]
